This Privacy Statement is issued by the National Transport Authority of  Haymarket House, Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 CF98(“NTA”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

The purpose of this statement is to inform you of the data relating to you that we collect and use in connection with this website and the uses (including disclosures to third parties) we make of such data. The NTA is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked sites.

  • information that you submit during a consultation process with us, including name, email address, home address and organisation. Anonymous submissions can be made by post.
  • any other personal data relating to you that you provide to us or that we generate about you in connection with your use of the website www.busconnects.ie.

Website Usage Data

We use a monitoring application to collate and analyse certain statistical information about the use of this website. When you visit our website, the following information is retained about that visit:

  • IP (Internet Protocol) address;
  • the number of times per visit a request for data was received from each IP address;
  • the entry page to our website;
  • the length of time spent on our website;
  • the exit page from our website;
  • the IP address of a link if used to access our website;
  • the identity of any search engine used to access our website;
  • a list of all the pages visited while in our website; and
  • the name of the browser used, e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer.

No attempt is made to identify individual users or to associate the technical details listed above with any individual.

Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis

  • processing application forms, including for Freedom of Information requests;
  • engaging in a consultation process;

Retention

Feedback, queries and complaints, and other correspondence submitted on our website or by email are retained for a period up to 3 years following project completion. Public consultation submissions are retained for a period up to 3 years following project completion. The retention period for Freedom of Information requests, responses and feedback is indefinite.

Transfers Abroad

In connection with the above, the NTA may transfer your personal data outside the European Economic
Area (EEA) to the United Kingdom, which is a jurisdiction that is recognised by the European
Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection for personal data as is provided for in the
European Union. This is solely for the purposes of the operation of the website www.belfieldblackrock.ie
(and not for direct marketing purposes).
If and to the extent that the NTA transfers your personal data outside of the EEA to any jurisdiction
which is not recognised by the European Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection
for personal data as is provided for in the European Union, we will ensure that appropriate measures
are in place to comply with our obligations under applicable law governing such transfers. These may
include entering into a contract governing the transfer that contains the ‘standard contractual clauses’
